Behaviour and Obedience Test

The Behaviour and Obedience Test for Assistance Dogs is a comprehensive assessment designed to evaluate whether a dog demonstrates the temperament, stability, and foundational obedience skills necessary for assistance work in public and private settings. ⚠️ Please Note: This is an advanced-level test designed to reflect the high standards required for assistance work. It is not intended as an introductory evaluation for untrained dogs. If your dog has not undergone any formal obedience or public access training, we strongly encourage you to review the Assistance Dog Standards prior to booking. Most dogs without prior structured training will not yet meet the requirements of this test, and we want to ensure your experience is both fair and constructive. If you're unsure whether your dog is ready, please feel free to get in touch—we’re happy to help guide you to the appropriate next steps, whether that be foundation training or a preparatory consultation. This evaluation is ideal for: Handlers preparing their dogs for public access work Individuals applying for official recognition or certification of their assistance dog Trainers or owners seeking a professional behavioural and obedience benchmark
